PERELLA WEINBERG PARTNERS NAMES PAUL INOUYE AND JOHN VARUGHESE PARTNERS, ESTABLISHES WEST COAST PRESENCE

Perella Weinberg Partners, a financial services firm that provides corporate advisory and asset management services to clients around the world, today announced that Paul Inouye and John R. Varughese have joined the Firm as Partners. Mr.Inouye and Mr. Varughese will be based in the Firm’s newly established West Coast office in the San Francisco Bay area, where they will provide strategic advisory services to clients in the technology sector.
Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, Mr. Inouye was a managing director responsible for the internet practice  at Lehman Brothers and based in the firm’s Menlo Park Office. Mr. Varughese was a Managing Director in Technology Mergers & Acquisitions at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Inouye and Mr.Varughese will work closely with New York-based Partners Scott Bruckner and Ihsan Essaid and London-based Partner Paulo Pereira and Director
Basem Salfiti, who also advise technology, media and telecommunications companies.

About Paul Inouye

With over 18 years of experience in merger and acquisition and capital market transactions, Paul Inouye most recently led Lehman Brothers Internet Banking Group as a Managing Director in its Menlo Park office. Prior to that,
he was a Managing Director and an Executive Director covering both the Software and Internet industries at Piper Jaffray and Morgan Stanley, respectively, in Silicon Valley. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Paul founded
and led Robertson Stephens’ Internet investment banking practice in San Francisco. Paul has nearly 20 years of experience in the technology and internet sectors in Silicon Valley and he has strong relationships with a large
number of companies in these sectors. Paul graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in International Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business with a major in Finance.

About John R. Varughese

John R. Varughese served as a Managing Director in Technology Mergers & Acquisitions at Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for overseeing strategic advisory and M&A execution for Lehman’s technology clients. With
over 20 years of M&A experience, Mr. Varughese has been based in Silicon Valley since 1996, and advised on a number of high-profile technology mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he was based in Asia and
worked on a wide variety of transactions across multiple geographies. Mr. Varughese holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Columbia
University.
